Angela Asche was born and raised in Vallejo, California. Her practical education and experience has given her the ability to encompass many genres of writing. Upon graduating from San Francisco State University in December 2007, she interned at Diablo Publications, where she had exposure to the marketing and editorial processes of magazines and website development. She worked closely with the marketing team and editors, participated in sales and marketing meetings, assisted with event planning, posted website content for launch, and fact-checked many stories.
Among her accomplishments she was commissioned to write advertorials featuring the Spring Home & Garden shows for Diablo magazine. She parlayed her enthusiasm for food into writing restaurant reviews as a freelance writer for Citysearch and honed her skills in concise and descriptive writing by creating short business profiles and featured roundups.
At San Francisco State, she was recognized for the quality and dedication of her work as a reporter for the Golden Gate [X]press Online, a student run publication covering city and university issues, and was promoted to Assistant Managing Editor. She managed her own producers as well as created and edited her own stories, multimedia presentations, podcasts and blogs under deadline.
